Mental Health Crisis Services - Stakeholder Process & Plan
Central Health is confronting the challenges associated with insufficient mental health crisis services. In spite of the advances in mental health treatment, the mental health system remains under-resourced and not well-integrated into the overall health care system.
In December 2005, Central Health convened a Stakeholder Group to work toward resolving the long-standing problems associated with access to inpatient and crisis mental health care.
The following report describes that process, documents the consensus solution and outlines the implementation steps necessary to ensure that the proposed solution is achieved. Progress on this initiative is also reported in the Central Health annual reports.
