HEALTH CARE SERVICES

Central Health arranges for healthcare services for Travis County residents who are not eligible for other private or public insurance programs. To qualify for full benefits under the Medical Assistance Program (MAP), residents must be at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Income Guideline (FPIG), unless elderly or disabled, who must be at or below 200% FPIG.

The 2009 FPIG will remain in use until at least March 31, 2010. Click here for more information.

Although enrollment is presently open, this is a limited enrollment program which is not able to accept all eligible county residents due to funding constraints.

Overview of the Medical Assistance Program (MAP) and Eligibility Guidance

Community residents at or below 200% FPIG who do not qualify for MAP full-benefit coverage may receive primary care services through our health care partners on a sliding fee scale program that determines cost for care based on annual income. Please visit the Health Care Partners page for a listing of community agencies providing these services.

Hospital and Specialty Care Services are provided through referral after the enrollment process has occurred. Our partners in providing these services are:
University Medical Center Brackenridge
Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas
Austin Women's Hospital
